Tam rides again.
A restoration project that will see Tam O Shanter designed originally for the 2009 Homecoming celebration return to Alloway after a rebuild by David Powell one of the original arts team that built the massive lantern contstruct Designed by Prestwick artist Graeme Gilmour the built by Ewan Hunter Graeme Gilmour and David Powell for a Homecoming showcase parade and finale performance.

Well the rain is falling from the skies in walls of water and i head into the stockroom for the slaughter. The smell of oil and steel the gantries and clacking chains and outside it rains. Two guys operating the crane, one guy fae a media company filming and there is a guy in a gold hard hat standing in front of them. They look at each other and the filming is running ….very politely… And one mutters there’s a guy in a gold hard .. Glasgae Smiles better in the rain .. .. Aye!! Its Panto Season. The ultimate icebreaker…. and a … Great pick up line Boom. boom.
